One Month at Our Store

We’ve officially been open for over a month at 85 West Street!

Our soft opening began on February 6th, with our opening celebration following suit just about two weeks after.

Since opening, here are a few things we’ve learned:

1. Community is everything

Our neighbors in the Greenpoint neighborhood not only support the welcoming and creative environment we’re trying to build, but they’ve also been incredibly encouraging. Our first month open was on the slower side—as New York moves out of the colder weather months, we’ve been seeing more people come in and out of our space. Stores around us have encouraged us to hold tight for warmer days & a livelier scene in Greenpoint. Special shoutout to our next-door neighbors at Marianella Market & Tomas Martin Jewelry.

2. Shopping small makes a huge difference

We’ve been so lucky to be able to showcase a variety of small emerging artists this past month & we’re so excited to bring more creatives into our inventory. Our network continues to expand & we look forward to meeting new people in the art scene every day. Thank you to everyone who has supported our current artists so far!

3. Events are where our heart is

If you weren’t able to make it to our opening celebration, keep an eye out for upcoming events at our store. We love to host & celebrate with new and old friends, and we’re always working on creating fun experiences for our growing network. 4. Making art is a gift
