New Artists at ZDS Creative

We’re so incredibly excited to announce that two new artists will be joining us at ZDS Creative! Ian Scott and Allison Dowd will both have their work on display at 85 West Street for the entire month of April! Ian will be showing a collection of eclectic wire mobiles and Allison will be showing an assortment of adorned lampshades—both artists bringing in new shapes and movements to our space!

Join us for a new artist celebration next Friday, April 4th from 6-9 pm. Free drinks + light snacks, new art & cool people! Be among the first to see the new configuration of our retail space!

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

Ian Scott is a sculptor and furniture designer based out of New York City. Working predominately in mobile art, Ian incorporates natural objects like flowers, pebbles, sticks, bark, moss, and lichen into contemporary art that moves as it interacts with the air. His art calls attention to the intricate design of nature through juxtaposition with harsh materials like iron and steel, and through presenting these objects in new formats to the viewer, often hanging or balancing precariously overhead.

Allison Dowd is a multidisciplinary artist raised between Oahu and San Diego, currently located in Brooklyn. She is experienced in ceramic sculpture, graphic design, film photography, and painting. Her recent venture has been creating chandeliers which she calls jewelry for your home, bringing charm and color to everyday life.
