In an effort to support local businesses and creators in our area, ZDS Creative is continuing our LOCAL series—a string of blog posts that details fun shops, activity spaces, food spots and more all within walking distance of our Greenpoint studio space at 67 West St.
Below you’ll find a hand-selected list of local tattoo shops/studios that we encourage you to visit either before or after stopping by our studio—all of them being within walking distance from ZDS Creative!
1. Cake Is A Lie

Part of Cake Is A Lie’s mission, as stated on their website, is to “celebrate diversity in art an people.” Their in-house artists have a varied range of styles, skills, and talents, making this a great place for almost anyone to find the forever body art of their dreams.

2. Sasha Woland Tattoo

This private, by-appointment-only shop is actually in the same building as we are—right down the hall from our studio! Check out their website to fill out a custom form and to get in touch about your next big project.

3. Yarrow Studio

BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
As stated on their website, Yarrow Studio’s aim is to “provide a comfortable space where we can collaborate with clients to facilitate personal agency through the art of tattooing. We celebrate all gender-identities and racial backgrounds.” If that’s not enough for you to check them out, just look how tranquil and beautiful their space is <3

4. Lovers & Killers

If saying that celebs like Madonna and Post Malone have gone here to get tattoos isn’t enough to make you stop by, maybe the fact that it’s literally on the same block as our studio will be. Super cool artists, great storefront location, sick portfolio.. what more is there to say?

5. HIVE

BY APPOINTMENT (MOSTLY)
Yet again another Tattoo shop that’s in our same building and on the same floor as we are. HIVE is primarily a by-appointment shop but occasionally hosts walk-in days (which they announce in their newsletter/on social accounts). They also do event services, where they’ll send a professional tattoo artist to your event location!
